Khabib Nurmagomedov willing to take Tony Ferguson fight as he waits for McGregor:

Undefeated #1 ranked Lightweight contender Khabib 'The Eagle' Nurmagomedov, has told how he would be willing to take on fellow top contender and 9 fight win streak holder Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson. Nurmagomedov extended his hugely impressive unbeaten run to 24-0 at UFC 205, finishing Michael 'The Menace' Johnson in the third round via kimura in arguably his most impressive performance to date in his UFC career. Ferguson featured in a main event bout against former Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos, at The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America Finale. Ferguson looked cool and relaxed throughout the pairs 5 round bout, and often had the Brazil native in trouble in the early rounds. The matchup between Khabib and 'El Cucuy', would most certainly make the most sense for the two hopeful title challengers, who will definitely be looking to keep active, while current Lightweight and Featherweight champion 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor takes some time off from the sport, with him and partner Dee Devlin, expecting their first child in May 2017. Earlier in the week, UFC president Dana White broke the news that McGregor would be most definitely be out of action until at least May. Khabib seems to be facing the facts that he may have to take on Ferguson before he is granted Conor, telling how there are "two plans, an interim title fight against Tony Ferguson, or fight for a real belt against Conor McGregor". Dagestan favourite Nurmagomedov took to social media to call out McGregor, ordering the Dublin born champion, to stop running like a "chicken" and "honour" his fellow Irish warriors.
