BJ Penn faces difficult matchup against Yair Rodriguez:

Former UFC Lightweight and Welterweight champion 'The Prodigy' BJ Penn, has been matched up against undefeated UFC Featherweight prospect Yair Rodriguez. Penn, most recently seen his similarly dangerous bout against Ricardo Lamas scrapped after their UFC Manila main event was entirely cancelled, after his return bout against Dennis Siver was also scrapped. Exciting Featherweight striker Yair 'El Pantera' Rodriguez, an Ultimate Fighter Latin America winner, is undefeated in his UFC career, most recently winning a split decision over Alex Caceres in their main event clash. Penn's last professional MMA win came against Matt Hughes back in late 2010, before three losses on the trot, to Nick Diaz, Rory MacDonald and a trilogy loss to Frankie Edgar, seen him call time on his seasoned career. A win for Yair Rodriguez doesn't do much for the young Mexican's career, with BJ now 37, while a loss wouldn't be the worst thing to occur for Yair, as he's only 24 years of age, regardless Yair will most likely be the favourite when the pair meet in Phoenix, Arizona in January.
