Yoel Romero smashes Chris Weidman to setup Michael Bisping battle:

UFC 205 sees a Middleweight showdown between former champ Chris 'lThe All-American' Weidman and Cuban wrestler Yoel 'Soldier Of God' Romero in a almost certain UFC MIddleweight title eliminator, after Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza's rematch fell out. Both men looked vert tentative early on, both cautious of each others wrestling ability. Romero then landed a rattling kick to the liver of Weidman. Weidman then landed a few body kicks of his own, before Romero reversed Weidman's takedown attempt. The st round ended on a high for Weidman. Romero interestingly, poured water all over himself, maybe in an attempt to waste some time, and catch his breath. The second round odd with Weidman landing some more leg kicks. Weidman seemed to be very respectful of Romero's knockout power. Romero then complained from an eye poke, which Mario Yamasaki bizzarly denied. Romero stuffed another single leg attempt. Romero was wearing down Weidman against the cage, also frustrating the American. Romero looked very good toward the end of the second, as he had Weidman on the mat for the end of the round. Romero opened the third and final round and completely slept Weidman with a vicious flying knee knockout. Yoel Romero will most definitely face Michael Bisping for the UFC MIddleweight championship.
