#1 ranked Lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov faces impressive #6 ranked striker Michael 'The Menace' Johnson, with Rafael Dos Anjos losing a unanimous decision to Tony Ferguson, last Saturday, Ferguson could feature next against either Khabib or Johnson in a Lightweight title eliminator. Sambo specialist Khabib Nurmagomedov, recently returned from a niggling injury to beat Darrell Horcher and the unbeaten 'Eagle', holds a win over former Lightweight king Dos Anjos. Johnson on the other hand shockingly stopped Dustin Poirier in the first round of their bout, after losing a decision to Nate Diaz. The American Johnson holds notable victories over Melvin Guillard, Tony Ferguson, Edson Barboza and Joe Lauzon, while American Kickboxing Academy's Nurmagomedov's only other notable victories have come against Thiago Tavares and Abel Trujillo. Nurmagomedov must be respectful of Johnson's legitimate one punch knockout power, while 'The Menace' must have his takedown defence skills gleaming, when the pair square off on Saturday.
