Jon Jones receives 1 year ban from USADA:
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon 'Bones' Jones has received a 1 year ban from the sport, after he failed a United States Anti Doping Agency drug test. Jones was scheduled to face current UFC Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier for the undisputed title back at UFC 200, but was removed from the card mere days before the event, when the UFC were notified of a potential anti doping violation. Jones pleaded that we was not a cheat, and blamed the result on a supplement he was using at the time. A sexual-enchantment pill taken by Jones was confirmed as tainted by USADA, but nevertheless, Jones will have to wait until next July before stepping back into the octagon. Jones tested positive for Clomiphene and Letrozol, with both regarded as estrogen 'blockers'. 'Bones' was said to have lost a figure in the region of $10 million after he was withdrawn from the main event of UFC 200.
