Krzysztof Lotko out grapples BJJ black belt Thales Leites:

UFC Fight Night Brazil seen a Middleweight contest between Thales Leites and Polish striker Krzysztof Jotko. Former top contender Leites, was the favourite head in into the bout on his home soil. Leites then secured the clinch, establishing double under hooks, looking to secure an early first round takedown. Jotko managed to defend the takedown attempt from Leites in the early stages of the first. Thales Leites had his first successful takedown attempt, securing a level changing double leg, cutting int half guard, before a good butterfly guard stalled the hometown Brazilian. Jotko started well in the second landing a decent spinning back kick and landed some decent strikes through out to give the onlooking judge something to keep in mind. Jotko began the third and final round very similarly to the second, landing a stinging right hand which forces Thales backward. The last 2 or so minutes of the third was spent on the mat, with Jotko moving to mounted crucifix, landing some decent elbows. Jotko managed to hold his own against the well renowned Jiu-Jitsu bulk belt Thales Leites, as they went the distance. Thugs handed a unanimous decision to the Pole Krzysztof Jotko.
