Hull City v Arsenal:
Mike Phelan's Hull City side welcomed Arsene Wenger and Arsenal to the KCOM Stadium as the home side looked to add to their 7 points gained in the league so far. Arsenal, another side involved in European competition during the week came from behind to draw with PSG in France on Tuesday night, while Hull drew with Burnley last time out away from home. Petr Cech came back into stand eleven replacing David Ospina who made the trip to France, Theo Walcott also started while Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka started on the Arsenal bench. Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez kept his place up top for Wenger's side but seen his early shot go over Elder Jakupovic's goal. Arsenal were fortunate to grab the lead after a Walcott cross was spilled by Jakupovic and fell to Alex Iwobi and the youngster's shot deflected off Sanchez and into the net. Arsenal spurred some decent oppurtunities after the goal as Sanchez was denied and Walcott fired straight at Jakupovic before German assist king seen his rebound effort go high and wide. Hull's Jake Livermore was handed a straight red card after purposely blocking a goal bound effort with his hand. Chilean Sanchez stepped up to look for his second but his tame attempt was saved by Jakupovic. After the interval, Alex Iwobi cleverly found Theo Walcott and the English forward's chipped shot was headed into his own net by Harry Maguire. Mike Phelan's side got a lifeline after new signing Dieumerci Mbokani was brought down by Cech and Robert Snodgrass obliged from the spot to make it 2-1. Hull rallied for a late equaliser before Sanchez grabbed a his second and substitute Granit Xhaka seen his long range drive beat Jakupovic as the match finished 4-1.
