Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid:

Thomas Tuchel's BVB welcomed Zinedine Zidane's Galacticos to the Signal Iduna Park in the second match week of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Dortmund and Madrid both had 1 win from 1 heading into the clash with the 'Black and Yellows' thumping 6-0 while Madrid picked up a 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon. Both sides received a boost in terms of selection with Cristiano Ronlado starting up front despite being withdrawn against Las Palmas with many citing an injury. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also passed a late fitness test, although former Barcelona centre half Marc Bartra was still carrying a knock. Chances were often throughout the 90 minutes with Roman Burki producing a stop from a Ronaldo free kick, while moments later, Keylor Navas was on hand to prevent Gonzalo Castro finding the corner with a free kick from the edge of the area. Madrid's opener was a thing of beauty with Ronaldo capping off a wonderful passing move as he finished from Gareth Bale's back-heel. Exciting French forward Ousmane Dembele went close as the home side searched for an equaliser before former Lorient defender and Euro 2016 winner Raphael Guerreiro's free kick was clumsily dealt with by Navas and Aubameyang was on hand to steer home a virtually impossible chance to squander. After the break, we witnessed the same ferocity with Madrid pressing for the lead and they found it when Benzema's effort cannoned off the post where Raphael Varane was their to clean up and score the rebound. Dortmund were eager to find another equaliser and prevent Madrid winning for the first time at the Signal Iduna Park with Christian Pulisic and youngster Emre Mor going close between Aubameyang's and Andre Schurrle's efforts. It was the German forward who finally found a late but great leveller for BVB when Pulisic's cross evaded Aubameyang's audacious overhead kick and fell to the summer signing who swept home past Navas to make sure Los Blancos curse at Westfalenstadion continued.
