José Aldo asks the UFC to terminate his contract:

In a shocking turn of events, current UFC interim Featherweight champion José Aldo had pleaded with the UFC to cancel his contract after it was confirmed expected opponent 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor will headlining UFC 205, but in a Lightweight title bout against Eddie Alvarez as the Irishman looks to become the first ever two weight consecutive champion. Aldo'a last bout came against Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 when he won the Interim Featherweight title. UFC president Dana White told how they won't be "cancelling his contract" and told how they could make something happen for the Brazilian, similar to the way they managed to fit Khabib Nurmagomedov onto the card after the #1 Lightweight was made wait for his title shot. Aldo told how regardless of belts or weight he would meet McGregor again in an attempt to avenge last December's 13 second KO.
