Manchester City V Bournemouth:
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City looked to make it 5 wins from 5 in the Premier League as they hosted Eddie's Howe Bournemouth to the Etihad stadium. City played their Champions League game against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday night after constant rain on Tuesday night forced the match to be postponed. City found no problem with the re organisation of the tie beating the German side 4-0. Young Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho kept his place in the City side after his goal in the 2-1 Manchester derby triumph with Sergio Aguero still serving his suspension for his lash out at Winston Reid. Bournemouth found themselves a goal down after the quarter hour mark as on loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere fouled Nolito on the edge of the area and Kevin De Bruyne converted cleverly low past Bournemouth's wall. Wilshere was nearly to blame after losing the ball in his own half, as Artur Boruc stopped Nolito doubling the lead. A free flowing counter attack from the Sky Blues doubled their advantage as Nolito found De Brunye, who slipped Raheem Sterling through and the former Liverpool forward set up Iheanacho who made it 2-0 before the half hour mark. The half time whistle sounded with City's class proving too much for 'The Cherries'. City came out hungry in the second as Raheem Sterling grabbed an early third. A slick move from City, similar to Iheanacho's goal was converted by Sterling as City ran riot at home. The real class difference was proven after the hour mark after a wonderful passing move involving De Bruyne and Nolito once again, was finished off by debutant Ilkay Gundogan who side footed past Boruc. With minutes left, Callum Wilson hit the bar Bournemouth's evening went from bad to worse. A late red card from Nolito was the only blotch on City's performance after the talented Spaniard needlessly head-butted Adam Smith. City proved too dominant as they made it 5 wins from 5 picking up a maximum of 15 points along the way.
