Crystal Palace v Stoke City:

Alan Pardew and his high flying Crystal Palace side welcomed bottom of the pile Stoke City to Selhurst Park with Mark Hughes' side looking for their first win in the Premier League this campaign. Alan Pardew handed a debut to summer signing James Tomkins as the former West Ham United man replaced the suspended Damien Delaney. Palace got off to a flying start after a corner wasn't dealt with and debutant Tomkins pounced to fire home inside 10 minutes. Moments later, 'The Eagles' were in dream land as fellow centre half Scott Dann headed home to make it a quick fire double for Pardew's Palace. A misfiring home side seen one real chance go a stray in the first half after Man City loanee Wilfried Bony fired wide of the post after disposessing Scott Dann. Palace loo to kill of the game before the half time whistle but Shay Given was on hand to deny Wilfried Zaha's close range effort after first denying Scott Dann a second. The second half didn't burst into life until well after the hour mark when Scottish midfielder James McArthur found a third via a deflection off Geoff Cameron. Very similar to the opening half, Palace scored twice in quick succession as former Spurs and Newcastle winger Andros Townsend finished expertly after a fantastic run to make it 4-0. Stoke finally found a late consolation when former Werder Bremen and Internazionale forward Marko Arnautovic seen his first time curling effort beat Steve Mandanda.
