CM Punk V Mickey Gall: How it will go down:

The long awaited debut of former professional wrestling sensation CM Punk takes place at UFC 203 against 2-0 Mickey Gall. The former WWE superstar has spent the last 2 years preparing with Duke Roufus for his debut and will face a step challenge against the 'Looking for a fight' star. Interestingly, Punk comes into the organists will absolutely no background in martial arts, whereas former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was a 2 time NCAA wrestler before his transition to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Many former fighters such as Brendan Schaub questioned why Punk did not appear on the independent circuit or even on a season of the Ultimate Fighter. Gall on the other hand is 2-0 in his professional career and has a dangerous submission game. The 37 year old Welterweight has joined the organisation fairly late in his career, but remains confident of fulfilling his multiple fight contract. Punk will more than likely look to engage in a feeling out process in the opening round or so, but if Gall senses any sort of stiffness or unskilled striking, it could prove to be a long night for the Illinois native. Gall may look to take the fight to the ground where he would be the more skilled Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and would have a better chance to finish the bout.
