Liverpool v Hull City:

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool looked to build on their triumph over Antonio Conte's Chelsea last Friday as they welcomed promoted side Hull City to Anfield. Klopp's Kop picked up a huge three points on the road last time out in the league, with Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson providing the goals in a 2-1 victory in London. Hull on the other hand, were easily beaten at home by Arsenal last time out, conceding four in a 4-1 rout. Jurgen Klopp handed a debut to summer signing Loris Karius as the German recovered from a hand injury to replace Simon Mignolet in the tarting XI. Liverpool made a blistering start with Joel Matip heading just over from a a good delivery and Philippe Coutinho forcing Ahmed Elmohamady into a goal line clearance. Liverpool found their opener after a brilliant move, with Coutinho at the heart of it, fell to Adam Lallana who slide past David Marshall to give the Meyseyside club the lead. Things went form bad to worse for Mike Phelan's side as Coutinho had another effort blocked, this time it was the arm of Elmohamady that came to the rescue, only for Andre Marriner to award a penalty and the Egyptian, a red card. Stand in full back James Milner took over penalty duties and converted with ease to send Liverpool on their way. Moments later, it was three, with former Southampton forward Sadio Mane finishing off another good move to give Klopp a three nil advantage at the break. Hull managed to find the score sheet after the break when Republic of Ireland midfielder David Meyler finding the net after poor clearing from a corner. Hull barely had the ball in the net when they seen the deficit increased, yet again. A wonderful effort outside the area from Coutinho seen him continue his fine form. Hull's hope of a comeback were put to bed along with the game, when Harry Maguire foolishly brought down Daniel Sturridge in the area to give Liverpool a second penalty. Milner, again cool as you like, made it 5 for the home side.
