Ryan Bader V Ilir Latifi: what just happened.

#4 ranked Light Heavyweight Ryan 'Darth' Bader takes on Swede striker Ilir 'The Sledgehammer' Latifi in an intriguing matchup. Latifi received a warm welcome from the German fans, looking confident as the 'Rocky' theme rang around the arena. #12 ranked Latifi has an astonishing 8 first round finish a in his career but faces arguably his biggest challenge in the form of Ryan Bader. Bader, completely outclassed by Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson when the pair met, will look to utilise his fantastic wrestling throughout the bout. A win for Bader would firmly place him in title contention and if Latifi were to pickup an impressive victory, he could guarantee himself a place in the top 10 rankings in the UFC Light Heavyweight division.

Found one got underway with an aggressive Bader with Latifi looking for an early takedown. Latifi was rushing into the exchanges with Bader catching him with a good jab on the exit. Bader landed a heavy body kick which hurt the big Swede. Latifi was swinging for the fences in the opening exchanges but was landing little to nothing, as Bader defended takedown attempts. Latifi then as the round came to the end, landed a huge right hook which momentarily dropped Bader but the American recovered to make it to the second of three scheduled rounds.

The second round began with Bader threw a good right hand which landed on Latifi's chin. The Malmo native them stuffed a double leg attempt and wrapped Bader up before the latter got back to his feet. Ryan Bader then from out of nowhere, landed a ground shaking knee to the top of Latifi's head which knocked the big Swede unconscious almost immediately as Ryan Bader got back to winning ways in the octagon.
