Will Brooks v Alex Oliveira: What will go down:

The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 96: sees a Lightweight contest between former Bellator Lightweight champion 'Ill' Will Brooks and Alex 'Cowboy' Oliveira. Brooks made his debut under the UFC banner with a win against British Lightweight Ross Pearson and now looks to build on that decision victory with a win against Oliveira. Oliveira is coming off a July decision victory over James Moontasri after a prolonged period in the UFC's Welterweight division. 'Cowboy's only losses in the organisation have come against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Gilbert Burns and Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone with both men picking up submission wins over the Rio de Janeiro born fighter. The rodeo bull rider faces one of the biggest tests of his career so far when he takes on the experienced Will Brooks. Brooks, 19-1 in his Mixed Martial Arts career has two impressive victories over current Bellator Lightweight champion, Michael Chandler, by way of split decision and a KO stoppage. Brooks has 9 wins via decision successfully defending his Bellator Lightweight title by that method before joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship in June. Known mostly as a Freestyle Wrestler and Boxer, Brooks should be more than capable of dominating the fight on the feet a hold pick up a victory over 'Cowboy'.

Will Brooks via unanimous decision.
