Evan Dunham vs. Herbert Burns in the Works for UFC 250 on June 6th.

A catchweight 150-pound pairing between lightweight division mainstay, Evan Dunham, and Herbert 'The Blaze' Burns is targeted to feature at UFC 250 next weekend - with the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada expected to host the card.

Dunham, 38, will look to end a two-fight skid against Burns, following a loss to Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night São Paulo in September of 2018. Herbert Burns, the younger brother of Gilbert - who headlines UFC Fight Night Las Vegas tomorrow night against former welterweight titleholder, Tyron Woodley - will make his second Octagon appearance, following a statement win over Nate Landwehr in January. News of the targeted matching was first reported by MMA Fighting reporter, Guilherme Cruz.

With a staggering twenty Octagon appearances under his belt, Oregon native Dunham - enters his matching with Burns after twenty-one months away from active competition. The veteran was expected to snap his retirement in April at UFC Fight Night Lincoln - when he was paired with Michael 'The Menace' Johnson, however, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the card's ultimate scrapping.

Since his first Octagon walk in August of 2009 - Dunham has managed notable victories over Tyson Griffin, storied submission-specialist, Gleison Tibau, talented wrestler, Nik Lentz, as well as lightweight icons, Ross Pearson, and Joe Lauzon.

After a first-round triangle over Darrick Minner on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders Series back in August of last year - Herbert Burns joined his older sibling, Gilbert on the promotion's roster. In a featherweight tie against former M-1 Global 145-pound titleholder, Landwehr, Burns took a first-round knockout win via a knee from the clinch. The 32-year-old - who featured seven times under the ONE Championship banner, is also a no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion.
