Ryan Benoit vs. Tyson Nam Set for UFC Event on June 13th.

A flyweight pairing between top-fifteen hopefuls, Ryan 'Baby Face' Benoit, and Tyson Nam is scheduled to feature at a UFC event on June 13th. - with the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada expected to host the card.

Both Benoit and Nam have dropped their most recent outings - with the former losing to Alateng Heili in December, and the latter finding himself on the wrong end of a unanimous judging to Kai Kara-France in February. News of the matching was initially reported by MMA Junkie reporter, Nolan King.

Since his promotional bow back in 2013 - California native, Benoit has amassed a 3-4 record, with a loss-win pattern forming on his résumé in the process. In those three victories, the 30-year-old has overcome Ashkan Mokhtarian, Fredy Serrano, and in a statement performance, finished recent Bellator MMA debutante, Sergio Pettis with strikes at UFC 185 - after an almost two-year layoff. Benoit returned to bantamweight for the first time in his last outing against Heili, since his transition to the Octagon.

Sport's Lab trainee - Nam, recently joined the organization's ranks, meeting with common opponent, Pettis at UFC Fight Night Mexico City last September. The storied Hawaiian has featured in promotions such as WSOF, where he challenged top bantamweight challenger, Marlon Moraes. With a record of 18-11-1, the experienced 36-year-old holds career highlight wins over UFC alumni, former Fight Nights Global flyweight best, Ali Bagautinov - as well as two-time Bellator bantamweight best, Eduardo Dantas. With a career spanning fourteen years, Nam represents one of the most journeyed challengers among his 125-pound peers.
