Ian Heinisch vs. Gerald Meerschaert expected to feature at UFC 250 in June

A middleweight meeting between challengers, Ian Heinisch, and Gerald 'GM3' Meerschaert is expected to feature at UFC 250 on June 6th. - with a location and venue still undisclosed by the organization.
Heinisch will attempt to return to winning ways, following a string of two defeats in his last two outings. Roufusport trainee, Meerschaert himself returned to the winner's enclosure in his most recent walk - taking a rear-naked choke victory over, Deron Winn in March at UFC 248. News of the expected pairing was initially reported by Combate writer, Raphael Marinho.
Denver, Colorado native, Heinisch - a former LFA interim middleweight titleholder, arrived in the UFC back in November of 2018, following a victory on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders Series over Justin Sumter. The 31-year-old made good on his promotion, securing decision wins over Brazilian duo, Cezar 'Mutante' Ferreira, and Antônio Carlos Júnior.
The Tiger Muay Thai trainee then dropped his two most prior outings, to longtime contender, Derek Brunson, and Omari Akhmedov in December. His defeat to Brunson marked his first blemish in five outings.
Wisconsin grappling ace, Meerschaer has secured ten fights of his forty-two contest career, under the UFC banner. With twenty-two submission triumphs, Meerschaert represents one of the most renowned grappling threats at 185-pounds. The former RFA middleweight gold holder has managed Octagon successes against the aforementioned, Winn, Trevin Giles, Oskar Piechota, Eric Spicely, Ryan Janes, and Joe Gigliotti.
In his four Octagon defeats, Meerschaert dropped losses to recent light heavyweight title challenger, Thiago Santos, fellow grappling talent, Jack Hermansson, Kevin Holland, and most recently, Eryk Anders. The storied contender has competed as high as 205-pounds.
UFC 250 is expected to take place on June 6th. with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the promotion. In a featherweight title bout, gold-holder Amanda Nunes is rescheduled to meet with former Invicta FC 145-pound best, Felicia Spencer. At 205-pounds, finishing prospect, Alonzo Menifield tackles Devin 'Brown Bear' Clark.
