A flyweight matchup between former title challenger, Jessica 'Evil' Eye, and talented submission artist, Cynthia Calvillo is expected to headline a UFC event on June 13th. - with a venue and location yet to be confirmed by the promotion.

Despite a botched weight cut ahead of her last outing against Brazilian contender, Viviane Araújo at UFC 245, Eye, who tipped the scales at 131-pounds - claimed a unanimous decision triumph. After a trio of weight cut mishaps of her own, Sacramento native, Calvillo will make her flyweight bow - following a majority draw against Marina Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night D.C. in December. News of the pairing was first reported by ESPN reporter, Brett Okamoto.

Former bantamweight challenger, Eye - has seen some significant success since her return to 125-pounds back in January of 2018. In her division opener, the 33-year-old scored a pair of split decision wins over Kalindra Faria first, and then Katlyn Chookagian - in between a unanimous decision victory over Jessica Rose-Clark. The Ohio native then met with Valentina 'Bullet' Shevchenko for the flyweight championship, losing via a brutal second-round high kick knockout. As mentioned above, the Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts trainee returned to the win column with a win over Araújo.

Since her first professional walk back in August of 2016 - Calvillo has dropped just one defeat, a unanimous decision to inaugural strawweight best, Carla Esparza at UFC 219. After a victory over fellow promotional prospects, Gillian Robertson, and Montana De La Rosa - the 32-year-old met with Amanda Cooper, and then Pearl Gonzalez - handing both a rear-naked choke loss. At UFC Fight Night Glasgow in 2017 - Calvillo upset the home crowd, taking a judging shutout against future flyweight title challenger, Joanne Calderwood.

After her prior mentioned loss to Esparza - Calvillo scored wins over Poliana Botelho, via submission, and Cortney Casey via decision. At the postponed UFC Fight Night Lincoln card in March, Calvillo was scheduled to meet with Antonina 'La Pantera' Shevchenko - the older sister of flyweight untouchable, Valentina.
