A strawweight pairing between Tecia 'Tiny Tornado' Torres, and former Invicta FC 115-pound champion, Brianna 'Tha Bull' Van Buren is expected to feature at a UFC event on June 20th. - with Las Vegas set to host the card.

30-year-old competitor, Torres - will attempt to prevent a fifth consecutive loss in the promotion, following a unanimous decision defeat to Marina Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night Montevideo last August. 26-year-old prospect, Van Buran, debuted in the promotion in her last outing - taking a unanimous decision triumph over Livia Renata Souza at UFC Fight Night Sacramento last July. Van Buren confirmed the bout on Twitter.

Following an Octagon bow back in June of 2015 - former Invicta FC prospect, Torres has amassed a 5-5 record in the promotion. The Massachusetts native picked up two straight victories over Angela Hill, and Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger, before her first professional defeat to two-time opponent, former UFC strawweight best, 'Thug' Rose Namajunas. The two would initially meet back in 2013 - with Torres emerging victorious on that occasion.

Embarking on a two-fight rise afterwards, Torres overcame Bec Rawlings, Julianna Lima, and Michelle Waterson - before a skid of four fights which include losses to former division champions, Jéssica Andrade, and Joanna Jȩdrzejczyk, and then a loss to current gold-holder, Zhang Weili.

With a record of 7-2, California native, Van Buren faces a step-up in competition in her second Octagon outing. Currently riding a four-fight winning run, the American Kickboxing Academy product scored a win over Jamie Moyle to kick-off her second stint with Invicta FC - before taking the promotion's strawweight crown in the tournament finale, after a win over Kailin Curran via a second-round rear-naked choke, and prior victories over the aforementioned, Lima, and Manjit Kolekar.

Making a short-notice promotional bow, Van Buran replaced talented grappler, Cynthia Calvillo - dispatching the aforementioned Souza. In January, the wrestling practitioner withdrew from a matchup with striker, Hannah Cifers - but is expected to make her second Octagon appearance against Torres in June.
