Casey Kenney, Louis Smolka Scheduled for UFC Event on May 30th.

A bantamweight meeting between Casey Kenney and Louis 'The Last Samurai' Smolka has been matched for a UFC Fight Night event on May 30th. - at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

29-year-old prospect, Kenney - will attempt to bounce back from his first loss under the UFC's banner, following a unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili in February at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho. Smolka, 28 - last featured at UFC Fight Night Vancouver back in September of last year, taking a late first-round knockout versus Ryan McDonald. News of the pairing was initially reported by MMA DNA reporter, Marcel Dorff.

Indiana native, Kenney will make his fourth Octagon walk - following a pair of eye-catching triumphs over former flyweight title challenger, Ray Borg, as well as promotional alumni, Manny Bermudez. The former LFA contender, twice featured on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders Series in 2017, beating C.J. Hamilton, before a split decision defeat to Adam Antolin. With six finishes from thirteen career wins - Kenney presents a dangerous customer in both the striking and submission arts.

Enjoying success in his second Octagon stint - Hawaii native, Smolka returned to the UFC with a unanimous decision win over Su Mudaejri, and the aforementioned McDonald. In between the two triumphs - the Team Oyama product dropped a first-round triangle loss to Matt Schnell. Following a string of four consecutive defeats, Smolka was released from the promotion - before taking the CXF flyweight title. During his premier UFC run, Smolka managed eye-catching victories over Irish pair, Neil Seery, and Paddy Holohan, as well as Ben Nguyen.
