Jon Jones Stops Vandalism in Albuquerque Amid George Floyd Protest

Jon Jones announced his decision to vacate his UFC light heavyweight championship last night, amid a recent negotiation falter between himself and the promotion ahead of a possible heavyweight debut, "superfight" opposite one-time title challenger, Francis 'The Predator' Ngannou - before explaining how he would be back in 2021 if the promotion were willing to increase his purse to take on current middleweight best, Israel Adesanya.
The Albuquerque resident took to the streets of the city to prevent vandalism amid the ongoing protests last night, after the murder of African-American, George Floyd by Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer last week. Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, after he subdued Floyd, with his knee for over eight minutes on his neck who said repeatedly, "I can't breath", rendering him unresponsive during the roadside arrest. Posting on his official Instagram account last night, the footage shows Jones taking spray cans from two individuals as he attempts to prevent vandalism in Albequerque. In the caption, Jones asks if the ongoing unrest is "about George Floyd anymore", as he repeatedly asks two individuals to "gimme the spray can".
"Is this sh*t even about George Floyd anymore?!? Why the f*ck are you punk ass teenagers destroying our cities!?? 🤬🤬 As a young black man trust me I'm frustrated as well but this is not the way, we are starting to make a bad situation worse. If you really got love for your city (505), protect your sh*t. All you old heads need to speak up, call your young family members and tell them to come home tonight."
