Will it prove second-time lucky for the much-anticipated Octagon debut of former Cage Warriors lightweight titleholder, Jai 'The Black Country Banger' Herbert? The highly-touted prospect was initially scheduled to make his first walk under the UFC banner in March at UFC Fight Night London - until the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic shelved pairings with fellow U.K. standout, Marc Diakiese.

In the midst of a career resurgence, veteran contender, Trinaldo added John Makdessi to his win column at UFC Fight Night Brasília in March. News of the 155-pound pairing was initially reported by Combate'sMarcelo Barone.

With a 10-1 professional record, 32-year-old division upstart, Herbert faces quite the stern test for his first trek under the UFC's scrutiny. The Team Renagade BJJ mainstay has managed an incredible nine stoppages from his ten career wins - displaying eye-catching submission and striking chaps. Following a unanimous decision loss to Alexander 'The Great' Hernandez at UFC Fight Night San Antonio last July - the well-rounded finisher scored unanimous judgings of his own against both Bobby Green, and the aforementioned, Makdessi.
