It seems it may prove to be third time lucky for this flyweight meeting between Brazilian prospects, Ariane 'Violence Queen' Lipski, and Luana 'Dread' Carolina.

The two were initially scheduled to meet at a postponed UFC Fight Night San Diego event in May - until the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forced the shelving of that event. Lipski and Carolina were then slated to meet at a UFC Fight Night Vegas event on June 13th., however, travel restrictions amid the ongoing novel coronavirus has halted the matchup once more. According to a report from AgFight writer, Diego Ribas - the two are now set to finally lock horns at a UFC 'Fight Island' event on July 18th.

In a bout which will mark her first Octagon appearance since last November where she managed a unanimous decision triumph over Isabela de Pádua - former KSW flyweight champion, Lipski makes her fourth Octagon appearance. After a tumultuous debut and follow up clash with Joanne Calderwood, and 'Meatball' Molly McCann, respectively, the Parana native will attempt to draw level in the promotion at 2-2.

Prior to the defeat to expected flyweight title chaser, Calderwood - Lipski had embarked on an impressive nine-fight winning run, which included a championship defence opposite Mariana Morais, and a title-eliminator victory over Sheila Gaff. The 26-year-old Muay Thai specialist plys her trade under former Strikeforce, Invicta FC, and UFC featherweight champion, and current Bellator 145-pound titleholder, compatriot, Cris Cyborg.

Riding an impressive six-fight streak of her own, 26-year-old prospect, Carolina has faltered just once in her seven-fight career as a result. The São Paulo based striker also holds a victory over common opponent, de Pádua - dating back to a 2015 pairing.

Following a unanimous decision victory over Mabelly Lima on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contenders Series back in August of 2018 - Carolina managed another judging victory, this time over compatriot, Priscila Cachoeira. Her 'Fight Island' meeting with Lipski will mark her first Octagon walk since that May win last year - following cancelled pairings with Yanan Wu.
