A flyweight pairing between Muay Thai practitioner, Liana 'Mgeli' Jojua, and kickboxing prospect, Diana 'The Warrior Princess' Belbiţǎ is slated for a UFC Fight Night event on July 15th. from Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Georgia native, Jojua will attempt to get off the mark in the UFC, following a third-round stoppage loss to Sarah Moras at UFC 242 last September, also from Yas Island. Romania born striker, Belbiţǎ is also hoping to score her premier win in the promotion, following a unanimous decision loss to 'Meatball' Molly McCann at UFC Fight Night Boston in October. News of the pairing was first reported by TASS reporter, Igor Lazorin.

Jojua, 25, arrived in the promotion last year from Fight Nights Global, taking along an eye-catching five-fight undefeated run. Despite her Muay Thai prowess, the Georgia native has scored five of her seven career victories via submission, with three consecutive armbar triumphs to boot.

Belbiţǎ, the much more experienced prospect of the two, has competed eight more times than her flyweight counterpart, Jojua. The 23-year-old Canada-based upstart also arrived in the promotion last year, and prior to her defeat to the above-noted, McCann, managed a four-fight unbeaten run.

A win-streak upon making her first Octagon appearance isn't the only similarity Belbiţǎ shares with Jojua; they both present tricky puzzles to solve both on the feet and in possible grappling scenarios, with a combined fourteen career finishes.
