Jinh Yu Frey vs. Kay Hansen Added to UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 27th.

The Invicta FC influx to the UFC continues. Former atomweight titleholder, Jinh Yu Frey has penned a deal with the promotion, along with Californian youngster, Kay Hansen - as the two prepare to meet this weekend at UFC Fight Night Vegas at the UFC APEX facility, in a strawweight pairing.

Frey, 35, returned to the winner's enclosure in her last outing under the Invicta FC banner in February, taking a unanimous decision rematch win over Ashley Cummins after vacating her atomweight crown. 10th. Planet Jiu-Jitsu Fullerton trainee, Hansen has scored wins in her last two outings, taking a unanimous judging versus Liana Pirosin in March. News of the matching was first reported by MMA Junkie'sNolan King.

Arkansas born veteran, Frey will make her fourteenth professional outing, five of which featured gold up for grabs. After a championship challenge loss to Ayaka Hamasaki back in September of 2016 - Frey finally secured atomweight spoils opposite Minna Grusandar in June 2018, before successfully defending the crown against the Finnish all-rounder in an immediate rematch.

Before her second career win over the above-mentioned, Cummins - Frey dropped her second loss to the aforementioned, Hamasaki - this time in a unanimous decision defeat when the two met last June, for RIZIN FF super atomweight spoils.

20-year-old prospect, Hansen began her professional career back in December of 2017 at 125-pounds, before making the drop to the strawweight limit of 115-pounds. Since her return to the division, the Californian has scored a 3-1 record. Notching wins over the previously noted, Pirosin, before submissions of Nicole Caliari, and an armbar of Sharon Jacobson. Hansen has so far utilised her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt to nab three submission successes.
