Mara Romero Borella vs. Miranda Maverick Added to UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 27th.

A flyweight matchup between Italy's, Mara Romero Borella, and promotional newcomer, Miranda Maverick is booked to feature at UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 27th. - from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Borella, 34, will attempt to snap a three-fight skid, following her most recent armbar loss to Cortney 'Cast Iron' Casey at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville on May 16th. Entering the Octagon for the first time, 22-year-old prospect, Maverick is currently riding a three-fight winning run. News of the pairing was initially reported by MMA DNA reporter, Marcel Dorff.

Piacenza native, Borella will feature under the UFC banner for the seventh time, looking to improve on her 2-4 record. The former Invicta FC prospect debuted with an eye-catching submission of Kalindra Faria at UFC 216 in October of 2017. In her second promotional victory, the American Top Team mainstay scored a close split decision win over Taila Santos. Before her blemish to Casey, Borella dropped losses to Montana De La Rosa and Lauren Murphy.

Another former Invicta FC upstart, Maverick won the Invicta FC Phoenix Series 2 flyweight tournament with a third-frame rear-naked choke win over DeAnna Bennett in a September rematch last year. In her final promotional outing, the submission specialist took a decision shutout against UFC alumnus, Pearl Gonzalez in February, improving her professional record to 7-2.
