A strawweight pairing between promotional prospects, Miranda 'Danger' Granger, and Nadia Kassem is set to feature at a UFC event on August 8th. - with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the organization.
Washington native, Granger last made the Octagon walk back in December at UFC Fight Night Busan, dropping a first-round rear-naked choke to Amanda Lemos. Australian youngster, Kassem is looking to snap a two-fight slide, following a recent loss to Ji Yeon Kim at UFC 243 in Melbourne last October. News of the matchup was first reported by MMA DNA's, Marcel Dorff.
Granger's loss to Lemos marked her first professional defeat, snapping a seven-fight undefeated run. Making her promotional bow back in August at UFC Fight Night Newark, Granger scored a judging win over Hannah Goldy. Prior to her Octagon debut, Granger managed to scoop the vacant Cage Fury FC strawweight championship - grabbing a quickfire submission win over Heloisa Azevedo.
Making her debut under the UFC banner back in November of 2017, 24-year-old division upstart, Kassem scored a unanimous decision judging over compatriot, Alex Chambers in Syndey in an all Australian affair. Kassem was scheduled to meet with Xiaonan Yan at UFC Fight Night Kallang the following June until an injury forced her out of the tie. At UFC 234 - Kassem dropped her first professional loss, in a second-round armbar defeat to Montana De La Rosa. From five professional victories, Kassem has managed four separate knockout wins.
