Da Un Jung vs. Ed Herman Booked for UFC Event on August 1st.

A light heavyweight bout between rising division prospect, Da Un Jung, and veteran finisher, Ed 'Short Fuse' Herman is slated to feature at a UFC event on August 1st. - with a location and venue yet to be disclosed by the organization.

South Korea native, Jung, is so far promotional perfect from his two Octagon appearances, with a first-round knockout win over Mike Rodriguez coming on home soil at UFC Fight Night Busan in December. Washington native, Herman will look to extend his winning run to three, following a unanimous decision win over Khadis Ibragimov at UFC Fight Night Moscow last November. News of the matchup was initially reported by SPOTV.

Jung, 26, will make his third Octagon walk, following a debut, standing-guillotine submission of common opponent, Ibragimov back in August at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Jung made his professional bow back in May of 2015, and following two losses in his first three matches, the all-rounder has managed an incredible twelve-fight undefeated run.

With forty professional outings, 39-year-old veteran, Herman presents a high-profile test for prospect, Jung. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt has scored an incredible thirteen separate submission victories in his storied career, but with seven knockout wins also on his résumé, Herman has some dangerous standup at his disposal as well.

Since his professional debut back in May of 2003, the American Top Team Portland trainee has scored notable victories over the likes of one-time light heavyweight title challenger, Glover Teixeira, inaugural UFC middleweight best, Dave Menne, elite striker, David Loiseau, Kyle Noke, Rafael Natal, Tim Boetsch, and Patrick Cummins.
