A bantamweight pairing between Welsh prospect, Jack 'Tank' Shore, and Brazilian all-rounder, Anderson 'Barinja' dos Santos is set to feature at a UFC Fight Night event from 'Fight Island' in Abu Dhabi, UAE - on July 15th.
Shore will attempt to improve his undefeated professional record to 13-0 - following an Octagon debut win over, Nohelin Hernandez at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen last September. São Paulo native, dos Santos will look to finally secure his first win under the UFC banner, following a unanimous judging defeat to Andre Ewell at UFC Fight Night Greenville last year. News of the pairing was first reported by Combate's, Raphael Marinho.
Riding an impressive four-fight finishing run. Tillery Combat MMA Academy mainstay, Shore made good on his Octagon call last year. Prior to the guillotine win over the above-noted, Hernandez - the 25-year-old former Cage Warriors bantamweight best - managed stoppages of Scott Malone, Mike Ekundayo, and Weslley Maia. Shore has been tipped for eventual Octagon champion status in the future, given his massive potential pedigree.
Prior to his above-mentioned loss to Ewell, 20-8 grappler come striker, dos Santos had dropped a unanimous decision defeat to another former Cage Warriors best, Nad Narimani. The 34-year-old Brazilian is yet to break his promotional duct, following a string of three consecutive victories on the regional circuits of California, and his native, São Paulo.
