Cormier V Silva: How it will go down.

Daniel 'DC' Cormier takes on former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson 'The Spider' Silva in a 3 round Light Heavyweight bout. Cormier faced Silva after original main event opponent Jon Jones was pulled from the card by USADA for an anti doping violation. Cormier, now will receive his pay day regardless of result and will hopefully see his hard graph and training pay off. Silva phoned Dana White and asked could be take the fight at 205lbs, a weight he has fought at before, completely dismantling Forrest Griffin. Silva spoke at the UFC Fight Night 90 Press Conference and told how it was really a last minute decision and that he obviously had no camp for the fight but felt his health was sufficient. Silva recently pulled out of his fight with Uriah Hall at UFC 198 in Brazil as he required surgery to remove his gall bladder. It was speculated that Hall and Silva would meet at UFC 200, but it now looks as if Silva will get his chance on the biggest card in UFC history. Interestingly, Miesha Tate's UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship fight against Amanda Nunes has been promoted to main event replacing Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt as the main event. Cormier will look to put his knowledge in wrestling into practice in this fight and possesses a great deal of power. Silva is arguably the best striker and greatest of all time in the UFC but with no training camp, the Brazilian's cardio will be called into question. Silva no doubt has some amazing dexterity and will look to land flashy kicks and strikes. Another interesting aspect of this fight is what could happen if DC takes this fight to the ground. Silva, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, is very dangerous off his back, as we seen against Chael Sonnen when he was dominated by Chael and in the final round, caught the American in a triangle and armbar to retain his Middleweight title in the first battle between the two.

I believe Daniel Cormier will battle his way to a decision victory over Silva with the Brazil native's cardio and stamina letting him down with the fight taking place on just 2 days notice.
