Miesha Tate V Amanda Nunes: What just happened

Miesha Tate V Amanda Nunes: UFC 200's main event sees UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Miesha 'Cupcake' Tate make her first title defence against Brazilian 'The Lioness' Amanda Nunes. Tate won her title against Holly 'The Preacher's Daughter' Holm via rear naked choke. Mines last fought and won against Valentina Shevchenko, who takes on Holm in UFC Fight Night on the 24th of July. Tate's title win comes with an amazing story with Miesha only last year was contemplating her career and admitted she was unsure weather she was going to retire or not. Amanda Nunes is a powerful striker who is capable of knocking anyone out and will need to avoid Miesha's takedown attempts. Miesha on the other hand will look to her wrestling and submission skills to retain her title, although Nunes does possess a black belt in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. Miesha looked incredibly focused and confidently during her walk out as she looks to make her first title defence a successful. Round one of five began with Miesha closing the distance. Misshapen scored a beautiful takedown but Nunes scrambled free. Nunes missed with what would have been an illegal knee. Nunes had Miesha in huge  trouble and Miesha Tate tapped to a rear naked choke. An absolutely dominating preform antes from Nunes gave her the victory and her knowledge in Ju Jitsu contributed to her title win to become the first Brazilian women to become champion in the UFC.
