MVP dismantles 'Cyborg' Santos at Bellator 158

Exciting English Mixed Martial Artist Michael 'Venom' Page made a huge statement of intent when in the second round he KO'd Brazilian 'Cyborg' Santos with a flying knee. Page then comically went to his corner where he received a Pokémon hat and a 'Pokéball' where he rolled the object towards Santos as he referenced the newly acclaimed 'Pokémon GO' mobile app. Page now holds an 11-0 record after beating Santos. Page has many critics with people asking why the up and coming Brit hasn't fought any real names in Bellator. 'Cyborg' was the man many believed would be Page's most difficult test in Bellator so far but Page overcame the Brazilian to score a vicious knockout with Evangelista requiring surgery after suffering a depressed skull fracture due to the flying knee knockout. Young Irish star James Gallagher made his Bellator debut last night earning a unanimous decision victory over Mike Cutting. Gallagher who trains out of SBG in Dublin has been compared to fellow Irish star Conor McGregor but before the event, played down comparisons telling how 'Conor is Conor and I am James' when asked about the similarities between both men. The main event seen former UFC Welterweight Paul Daley lose a unanimous decision to late replacement Douglas Lima. Former UFC stars Matt Mitrione and French native Francis Carmont won their bouts with Carmont winning via D'arce choke and Mitrione winning his Heavyweight bout via knockout in the second round.
