Lesnar V Hunt: How it will go down

UFC 200 sees the return of fan favourite Brock Lesnar as he takes on Mark Hint in the co-main event. Lesnar hasn't fought since his loss to Heavyweight contender Alistair 'The Reem' Overeem and will face stiff competition against former PRIDE Heavyweight Mark 'Super Samoan' Hunt. With the withdrawal of 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor from the original card, Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta were left with a huge decision on who would be the money maker with arguably the biggest draw in the game deciding against jumping when ever Dana White asks him to. White had two real options to choose from in my opinion, Brock Lesnar's or Canadian superstar Georges St. Pierre. Lesnar's was chosen as the man to haul in the PPV buys and be the man to boost the overall gate of the event. Economically that was a smart move by White and the UFC matchmakers but in terms of opponents, there may not be a harder hitter in the heavyweight division than Mark Hunt. Hunt is coming off a victory over veteran Frank Mir with another walk away knockout added to his résumé. Hunt has a pair of the heaviest hands in all of MMA and will really cause Brock a problem if this fight stays on the feet. On the other hand, Lesnar an NCAA champion has some of the best wrestling in MMA and will look to bring this fight to the canvas as quick as possible if he is smart. From the top, Lesnar will look to use his weight and sheer size to zap Hunt of his energy and grind him out, possibly finishing the fight on the ground from full mount. Another way this fight could reach its conclusion is through Lesnar's submissions like the triangle choke he used when he faced behemoth Shane Carwin. If the fight does stay on the feet, which is highly unlikely, it would be a safe bet to assume Hunt wins by knockout with Brock needing to be wary of Hunt's lead uppercut and huge right hook.

Hunt gets the knockout victory over Lesnar in my opinion with 'octagon rust' playing a factor with Brock maybe being a tad too cautious when he comes in for the takedown and could be KO'ed by the New Zealander. A win for either of these men would surely catapult them into a title fight against the victors of Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem when they square off at UFC 203
