Anderson Silva willing to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 200

Brazilian striker Anderson 'The Spider' Silva has thrown in name into the mix as Dana White told earlier that Daniel Cormier would still be fighting on UFC 200, but after the recent anti doping violation against Jon Jones, Cormier is now looking good a new opponent for Saturday, with Gegard Mousasi, Alexander Gustafsson, Michael Bisping and now Anderson Silva offering themselves for the main event slot. Silva is coming off the back of a very controversial decision loss to new UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping, and it is believed the fight bay have to take place at a catchweight due to the poor timing, rather that a Light Heavyweight Title defence for Cormier. Dana White recently dismissed the idea of Bisping fighting with the president telling how Bisping 'goes on a bender' when not in a fight camp and would be in no condition to take on Cormier. Interestingly, Conor McGregor told at his press conference today that all UFC needed to do was 'ask' and they shall receive. McGregor would certainly save the card and also told how the new main event, Brock Lesnar v Mark Hunt, wasn't even scheduled when he and Nate Diaz were pencilled in for a rematch and couldn't understand how they were still allow fight. Anderson has fought at 205lbs before, but spent the majority of his time in the UFC digging in the Middleweight division and dominating the division for a huge spell of his career. Gerard Mousasi would be a difficult fight to pitch in my opinion, even though the Dutchman was the 205lbs champion in Strikeforce, he is also booked to fight Thiago Santos in the UFC 200 prelims. Alexander Gustafsson is a fight I would like to see after the war the 2 men had the first time they battled. A return to the Light Heavyweight division could prove to be a step too far for 'The Spider' with him coming of a loss and Cormier could take advantage of the Brazilian's considerably weakened chin.
