Daniel Cormier V Anderson Silva: Daniel Cormier faces the GOAT Anderson Silva on 48 hours notice after Cormier's original opponent Jon Jones was notified by USADA that he may have violated an anti doping policy. The Brazilian called Dana White and a fight was organised with the former Middleweight champion arriving with no camp. The magnificent striker can beat anybody on his day with his record at Light Heavyweight 3-0. Anderson looked confident as ever during his walk out. There couldn't be a more fitting card for the Brazilain superstar. Cormier has a fantastic wrestling background and will look to take this fight to the ground as quick as possible. Cormier also possesses some scary power and is capable of knocking anybody out. The current Light Heavyweight champion looked focuses and ready for the fight and the American made his run to the octagon. The first round seen Cormier miss with a high kick. Cormier landed a takedown in the first minute and looked to grind him out. Cormier stacked the guard and held onto Cormier. Cormier was testing Silva's chin with elbows from the top. Cormier in half guard, continued to reign down with elbows and body strikes. Cormier momentarily postured up and found some space to work. Silva survived the round with his cardio definitely taking a hit. Round 2 seen Anderson open with a high kick. Cormier then landed another takedown and wound up in half guard. Cormier was really grinding Silva out without doing any major damage. Some good elbows landed from Cormier. John McCarthey eventually stood them up. Silva the caught Cormier with a huge knee and a kick to the body. Cormier then clinched to end the second round. The third and final round was upon us with the two men sharing a hug. Silva found a good high kick. Cormier threw a huge overhand right. 'DC' then took the fight to the mat again. The audience chanted 'stand them up' and McCarthey obliged. Silva found a good straight right and then hurt DC with a body kick as they went the distance. The judges made their decision and Daniel Cormier beat Anderson Silva by unanimous decision.
