Juve reject City's bid for Bonucci

Manchester City have seen their bid of £38 million rejected by Juventus for Italian centre back Leonardo Bonucci. Bonucci stared for the Azzurri during their run in the European Champions and scored the equaliser from the penalty spot against the Germans in the quarter finals but eventually they were knocked out on penalties. Pep Guardiola is believed to be more interested in securing Bonucci than Everton defender John Stones, as Guardiola believes the Italian has more experience and has been surrounded by success in the Serie A in the last few seasons. Bonucci is a vital part of Juventus' defence with him playing in a centre back 3 along with Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli. Another factor for Guardiola's bid is the unimpressive and unreliable performances of Eliaquim Mangala who arrived from FC Porto for a similar price and has really failed to impress the City fans and board.
