UFC Women's Strawweight Championship: Joanna Jedrzejczyk (C) V Claudia Gadelha: Arguably the most fierce rivalry in UFC this year comes to a climax with Polish striker Joanna Jedrzejczyk takes on Brazilian Ju-Jitsu black belt Claudia Gadelha for the second time. The Pole took the first fight between the pair with many believing the decision could have went either way. Their rivalry really reached boiling point during the recording of the Ultimate Fighter when the pair got into a physical altercation when the cameras stopped rolling, and the two will battle it out once more to maybe settle their vast differences. Challenger Gadelha came to the octagon looking extremely loose and confident for her rematch. Gadelha will look to utilise her black belt in Ju-Jitsu but must be careful of Joanna's scary punch power. The champ looked very focused and determined to retain her title. The first round began with no touch of gloves as expected. Joanna was knocked down within the first encounter but recovered immediately. Gadelha then wound up in half guard before taking it to the clinch. Joanna then shows her fantastic striking but Gadelha again took it to the clinch cleverly. Gadelha then landed a great takedown to wind up in half guard once again and laid down some ground and pound. The champion then used her jab well to light up Gadelha. Round one ended with Joanna landing some good strikes. Round two again with Gadelha applying a lot of pressure and working well in the clinch with strikes, before landing another takedown and using her striking cleverly. Joanna had Gadelha fight where she wanted her, standing in front and not using her footwork. Gadelha scored another takedown and Joanna called Gadelha from the mat so they could stand and bang. Gadelha then landed a huge elbow and rocked Joanna who again recovers and nearly finished a tired Claudia. The fourth round began with Joanna landing a devastating combination with her jabs. Gadelha looked exhausted in the fourth and was a mere spectator in terms of stand up. Joanna was too quick with her strikes and footwork for Gadelha to try a takedown. Joanna was putting on a show with her stand up. The fifth and final round would more than likely decide the victor. Joanna was just too quick for Claudia in the later rounds as her cardio was perfect. Gadelha then tried for a takedown but Joanna escaped. Joanna continued to punish the Brazilian with constant jabs and kicks. Joanna then told her to stand up once more and again found a home for her jab.
