Tony Ferguson narrowly beats Lando Vannata:

Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson survived a shocking first round against UFC debutant Lando Vannata at UFC Foght Night: Sioux Falls to submit Vannata in the second round. Vannata stepped up to face the exciting Ferguson on 2 weeks notice after Michael Chiesa pulled out citing injury. Vannata, a fantastic striker had Ferguson reeling in the first 5 minutes landing huge right hands over and over in one of the best rounds of the year. Vannata dropped 'El Cucuy' towards the end of the first round with Ferguson just reviving to see the second. Lando could be accused of keeping his hands too low in the second round and was tagged numerous times by well timed strikes and kicks to the body by Ferguson. Lando was then event sully clipped and Ferguson executed a standing guillotine and dragged Vannata to the ground where he locked in a D'arce choke and the debutant tapped out. After the bout. Ferguson told newly crowned UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez to take an 'easy' fight with Conor McGregor but be aware that he would be at his 'front door'z I imagine Khabib Nermagomedov will finally get his shot at the title with Ferguson maybe fighting former champ Rafael Dos Anjos with the victor taking on either Khabib or Alvarez.
